TIP: Makeup Essential for the Music Festival

Makeup Essential for Music Festival

Makeup Essential for Music Festival by vanessadu

It's the season of Music Festival! We do not have the same festival in Taiwan, but we do have something similar called "Spring Scream". It usually takes place at the beach in April. People go enjoy the concert with friends, and see many different bands perform. Keep reading for makeup essentials for this celebrating event.

It is extremely important to protect your skin at the beach. Wear a sunscreen to prevent sunburn. Some sunscreen can be too greasy, so try an oil-free formula. A matte finish can sometimes work as a makeup primer.

I feel that powder foundation tends to stay longer on the skin. Liquid or cream foundation can slide off easily. Use a powder foundation that is light and breathable, it will keep your skin comfortable and flawless for a long time.

Definitely wear a bronzer or illuminator to brighten up your face, and give yourself the ready-for-summer look. I love how an illuminated bronzer can also give definition to the features.

For eye makeup, wear something simple and smudge proof. You won't want to worry about smudges while partying, right? Use a gel liner for a clean and bold look, add a volumizing mascara to create drama.

I like to play with colors for an event like this. Wear a deep blue nail polish for an unique look, and wear a bright pink lipstick to draw attention. If you want the lip color to stay longer, blot your lips after first application, then apply a second layer.

I suggest bringing a small makeup bag with you. You will just need some essentials for touch up, and something to fulfill many tasks. Take the sunscreen to re-apply, and the lipstick and powder compact for touch up.  For the multi-purpose product, I recommend you take the petroleum jelly. It work well as a lip balm, a hand cream, and a hair moisturizer. You know how your hair gets frizzy at the beach.

What is YOUR makeup essentials to the Music Festival?

  1. Lip Balm with SPF and Concealer to cover up the fact I have been up dancing all night.

  2. I'd probably prioritise primer, SPF, lipstick/lip balm and a good waterproof mascara, so that I don't end up looking like a Panda. haha :) x
